Sir, What is your view on Utilities being a part of one's portfolio? How much percentage of the portfolio should be such companies? And what is your view on Powergrid?

I don't like to allocate money to sectors. I like to talk stocks. Utilities again being too generic terms and it is best suited on TV.

Powergrid is a PSU and I avoid them because they don't have operational efficiency. Read https://shabbir.in/business-checklist/

Utilities are high capex mostly Government owner and married to inefficiency and crony capitalism. Apart from high dividends there is nothing in them..
