I avoid sugar companies or any commodity companies unless there is compelling reasons not to.

Not sure of SRF. Not tracking it. I too stay away from commodity stocks, fertilisers and oil, too much government interventions in this space, unless something mouthwatering. Dalmia sugar if my memory serves right has very high debt. Sugar price have also stabilised off late, was a good entry 10 months ago..when it rose. It's cyclical sector. Lead prices have started going up recently..for e.g. I own DCM Shriram industries shares small quantity entered at 180 levels. Undervalued even today, 50 percent revenues from sugar rest from tyre cord and miscellaneous. Stellar results last 2 qtrs. I don't see any other sugar stock good for a value investor like me.
