I started buying mf from my zerodhra account and its a regular plan. Today I came to know about mf direct plan. Just want to understand how much difference comes in return in long term. I am not only looking for return, I m looking for convenience also. If I consider both return and convenience which one is better.

Shabbir, thanks its really solve all my doubts. But I have question most of your mf holding is more than 1 lakh then still you opt for regular fund, any specific reason? And what is your time horizon ?

U can choose either one but yes direct plans offer almost 1% higher return which the agency keeps with them in regular.

Agree but with tax saving my aim is always 3 years and not more than that. For non tax saving my view is longer than 5 years for sure.
