    Hi Shabbir,

    Request you to explain technical analysis to be followed for trading in Options and as well in Futures.

    Explanation with few examples would really help.

    I never trade in futures, options, commodities or forex and so I will not be able to cite examples but the patterns applied to the price of the stock can always be applied to the price in futures or buy / sell triggers in options.

    Im preparing some examples in FNO with respect to price patterns in stocks.

    I would share in forum, once completed. we all can review it daily.

    For today I picked HDIL, NTPC and Bata in options, its paper trade.

    Option Technical analysis continuation

    Hi Shabbir,

    As Promised here Im providing example of Option trade I did yesterday.

    Yday I was checking for an Intraday breakout stock in first one hour and finally found NTPC.

    So I have choosen NTPC for option trade. it was trading at 159, decided to trade above 159.

    As soon as it touched 160, entered in NTPC160 CE. NTPC 160 CE was trading at 3.50 and it made high of 6.70 on same day as price moves higher.

    Century Tex - 380 CE, premium at 9.50
    Exide Industries - 160 CE , Premium at 2.50
    M&M - 900 CE , premium at 14.20

    Just try to observe this and do paper trade.

    I have a very basic question regarding Futures and Options..

    1) How does this type of trades work?..
    2) What is the meaning of "Call", "Put", "CE" and "PE" ?
    3) How to analyze the different levels with respect to FNO trades and be profitable?
    4) What should be the stop loss strategy that we should adopt in FNO trading?

    Please point me to some links or writeups regarding this.. I know its very basic things but I am just trying to get a hang of FNO trading..

    How do you decide which strikeprice to enter a call? Any difference in entering a strike price with the lowest premium V/S entering in the the most active one?

    I would love to know how do you scan the market and select any particular scrip for your trade.

    Is there some website or a particular tool which helps in identifying the scrips.
