    Hello Friends,

    I was going through the Mutual Fund websites...I want to have investment plan for my baby's future...(16 month old)

    I came accross following TWO funds:

    1. HDFC Children's Gift Fund - Savings Plan
    2. HDFC Children's Gift Fund - Investment Plan

    Which will be better option? can you pls guide me...

    both fund has a feature called...

    Children gift plan is never better choice and I prefer investing in the funds myself

    Yes but then I prefer direct funds that related to where they invest and is not based on psychology of what I want to do like give gift to my kid.

    So better if you invest in large and midcap fund.

    On top of that this is a new fund and so why try a new thing when you have solid performers with good track record at your service.
