    Hi All,

Karur Vysya has given superb steady up move and I'm super excited. Ideally, when can one exit the stock ? I've got in @ 385 and today stock is at 465 levels. Strategies please.
First target in my mind is 490 and next 540 provided the rally continues without exhaustion(Being greedy hehe). Would like to know what someone in my position would have done?

    Thanks
    Naveen

    2 options

First either book partial profit every day or for every few percentage upmove.

Second is sell off everything on the day after a big red candle.

    Sold partial quantity @ 467 and bought back @ 456 ;)

Habit somewhat synonymous to smoking. Finding hard to quit.

    Thanks

    Hi Shabbir,

Just noticed a red candle. Is it time to exit ? If by any means your answer is Yes, shouldn't I consider the Bank Nifty move as well ? Please share your thoughts

    Thanks
    Naveen

Whats your percentage profit and if you think only one stock should make you rich, just avoid markets and invest in real estate.

Just noticed, when u asked. 25% in 11 days. The valuation looks attractive still and banks one by one catching up with the leaders. By far the best dividend paying bank when considering peers. All these factors making me keep the stock in hand still. And really speaking, I find it difficult to find attractive picks most of the time.

    Thanks

So technically you have done good in this stock but if you find good valuation and other things in this stock, you can research fundamentally and remain invested for few years as well. Nothing wrong in that. I am invested for years in many stock like Nestle, Lupin, Asian Paints but then I only watch for events where stock can decline and try to avoid that decline to the extent possible else I just don't look for the charts of this stock.
