    Hi Amit,

Above 970 - 980 will have an uptrend. currently stock is trading at 955.

at what strike price you purchased put. Is it Out of or At the money put ?

There are chances that it will go down but 980 should be your stop.

On the side-notes, Shabbir please write an article when you have time on Futures and options :)

Would be helpful for newbies like us.

    Hi Amit,

If you are sure of the trend and capable of taking risk than play In-the-money (or) At the money options.

If you are not sure of the trend and want to take position with limited risk than you can play with Out-of-money options.

Out of the money option's premium will be less when compare with In or At of the money options.

If you would have taken position on out of in present situation, you can always counter with opposite option.

If i had choosen ICICI, would have take position in 860 PE with premium of 1.60

    Regards
    Sujan

yes it does apply to CE as well. Today there is gap up in ICICI so would be better not to take position today.

If same trend continues next week then you can think off.
