Shorting is done in futures and options and not in cash market. Do you have access to trade in FnO?

Then you should be able to short them. Any issues that you find shorting?

Shorting is nothing but selling 1 or more lots of future or option of any stock that u choose and buying them at a later point of time before expiry..
If u don't buy before expiry day, then the trade gets squared off automatically for the price on the expiry day..

I would say then avoid it as I also do not short and when it is not going right that is the time I am on a break. It is always good to enjoy your profits as well.

Great to see that. It is always better to get educated before jumping into trades.

If I am not wrong, shorting can also be done for Intraday where you dont have to worry about the lots like F&O.

Yes but that is very risky because intraday you may not be able to get the targets that easily

Does shorts and longs in F&O market help us taking decision on buying stocks which are long. Where do I get this information whether there are shorts or long buildup in a particular stock.
