Oil is a raw material for them. When oil is low their margins improve. They take a hit when oil prices move up. Looking at these ratios I think it’s actually available cheap.

One more information..Shabbir sir's investment checklist exclude the companies operating in sectors heavily regulated by government..I also buy that argument..Does this Castrol work across the same argument? (ENTIRELY DEPENDENT ON OIL)

I avoid OIL as a sector because they do not have the pricing power either. I won't be a customer if I have to pay extra but then lubricants is different. In case of castrol, it is the case of lubricants and so that doesn't hold like it is regulated on the price front but then it may be regulated on purchasing of raw material.

To add more off last 5 years I also see the growth of other brands Gulf oil, veedol, Max, Shell..there was time when Castrol was ubiquitous not anymore I think..so competition is pulling its sales down?!
