    You have asked the same question in couple of different threads where some other discussion is on and so please try to keep one topic in one thread and so I have moved your post into a separate thread.

    Coming back to your question for finding stocks, what process do you follow? The best is to screen stock that are near 52 week high for going long.

    Hi Shabbir,

    You said to look for stocks that are 52 weeks high for going long. In case of ITC it touched Rs,380/- last week and it has come down to Rs.349/-. In that case how to judge the movement of the script. Please explain in brief. Also in case the script that is 52 weeks low. In case of Dish TV it's 52 weeks low was 51/- and in case of BHEL (I think Rs.150/- ) it's movement is fluctuating. Please explain how to trade in that case.

    I think we should not buy immediately on 52 week high, should wait for few trading sessions whether the 52 week high is holding.

    You should have bought ITC above 350 and then it touched almost 380 and if you still have not book your profits, you are becoming too greedy

    As Shabbir pointed,
    previous high of ITC was something around 354. ITC breached this level and was staying above 350/354. Shabbir was saying to go long in ITC at this point and book profits when 370+, definitely book partial profits if not all. The stock zoomed above its previous highs on 1st quarter results expectations.

    To all my Forum Members, I booked my profit in ITC. I just wanted to know even after touching 52 weeks high, is there any possibility of going further and same case in 52 weeks low - whether that script will further decline. And how to judge its movement and approx. how many trading sessions we'll have to watch.

    If breaking above 52 week high means it will never come down then every stock would be gold mine. There is no rule like days or hours and take your profit and look for another opportunity.

    Hi All,

    Infosys has hit 52 week high of 3020 on Aug 2.
    It is just trading below that at 3006.
    Should one buy into Infy at this point? If so, what should be the SL?
    Note: Infy is trading above its 20 day EMA for the last 3 weeks.
