    There is also a steep learning curve attached to the pricing models. Without having a proper understanding of pricing, arbitrary selection of prices is akin to gambling.

    Capital appreciation? Yes. Dividends? No.

    What GBS didn't tell is where to keep the gold. Obviously, in bank vaults. Now if States fail, will banks exist?

    Gambling or no gambling but if you are buying Gold ETF or for that matter Gold Funds, it is all good as long as you aren't leveraging your positions. In MCX, if you buy gold, you are being leveraged.
