    Hi Shabbir, Can we invest in this stock now on fundamental point of view, for long term say more than 2years. Thankyou

    I would try it now and will wait for the stock to fall to a lowest point and then it spends a week or two around some levels and then can think about it.

    Hi,

    Why do you want to get into Ashok Leyland ?
    The stock has given a return of -35% in the past 1 yr & -44% if you take 2 yrs into consideration. Even if you take 5 yrs, then also it has remained flat giving a return of apprx. 1% - considering record date as Aug 1, 2008.
    In the short term also (1month - 3months - 6months), the stock has given a return of around -25% to -40%.
    Valuations are not high, but I'm skeptical since the stock has not performed well in the past, giving -ve returns consistently. Stock has "underperformed".
    There are other better stocks in its sector.
