There are 2 schools of thoughts.

    1. Moving towards electric vehicles will means more business for battery manufacturer with the assumption they will move from lead acid battery to whatever technology works for the electric vehicles.
    2. Because battery will be inherent part of the car, the car manufacturer will be the provider for the batteries. As an example, Maruti will manufacture its own battery.

Depending on which school of thought you are in, you should consider investing.

That means we can not predict for this companies now. It can be decided later based on who will be battery supplier for vehicles.

Currently these are lead acid based batteries. The future of electric vehicles will be lithium ion based batteries. So companies will shift to lithium ion based ones.

Electric vehicle and it's viability without any proper infrastructure even in tier 1 cities can't be parameter for investing in stock of batteries. Ev is indeed future but this is going to be a long walk considering how cng has made progress. Amaraja I have been following for a long time has today touched 52week low.
