Mututal Fund for a new comer

    Hi ,

    Some teenager asked me to suggest the suitable MF to start entry in market.

    Initial budget is 10K per month!!

    I suggested to start with Nifty50 Fund...

    What is your opinion ?

    I am also very new to suggest but as per my opinion it will be better to start one balanced (5K0 and one mid/small cap (5K) mutual fund.

    It is a passive fund. It is best if the investor in this fund is passive too. I have invested in it for my kid's future. It is more of an invest and forget type of fund. If you keep tracking it regularly, you may not like what you see. There are far more tested, actively managed, balanced and large cap funds to choose from if returns are a worry even though past returns are no guarantee for the future. (I now sound like an AMC who has just started a new fund :oops:.)
