Hi, I am new to trading. I have few questions which could be very basic.
    1) How will you shortlist the stocks that should be monitored for trading(need not be intraday).
    2) Normally how many stocks that we can monitor(practically possible) on a daily basis

As you find them, you keep adding to the list. You can start with

    1. Nestle India
    2. Asian Paints
    3. Lupin
    4. TCS
    5. VGuard

Not more than 5. I cannot track more than those.

Thanks Shabbir for suggesting good stocks to start with. There are 1000+ stocks int he market. It is not possible to check all these charts. My question is how can we select the stocks(5 or 10) whose charts can be considered. Probably on analyzing the stocks we may shortlist 5 of them for further monitoring or trading. I am not sure if I am asking the question correctly.

As you find new stock, see if it is something that has formed a pattern you are comfortable trading in the past. If it has, add it to your list of stocks to track. Then use that list to further nail down to smaller list of stock
