    FII selling the market, and they've been selling on almost every rise in past few days. Can we expect some short covering to come as expiry approaching next week? Do things look oversold as of now?

    I don't see any target as of now because I see that 8300ish is a support and if this is cracked then 8000 and then 7700 but then I see that 900 top was not touched in the recent up tick and so I don't see any direction as of now and so long is something I will avoid unless I see more clear direction.

    Shorting in big spikes is preferred if we see support cracking and then moving up.

    I don't buy the concept of over sold and over bought. I see it as cover up.

    Look, inspite of heavy FII selling ( approx 1500 cr) market made its move...
    Alone FII cannot drive the market, what's your view shabbir ?

    Market made the move because DII was buying heavily (net +1500 cr), and the buying must have been in Nifty stocks, specially I would say banking names, as there was considerable recovery in the Bank nifty as well.

    I would not like to get into the details of who is buying and who is selling but it looks like support is being held. Would like to see it being held for longer than one or two trading sessions though.

    Sensex 722↔227 in Nifty
    Looks like mirror image .

    Reasons for sharp fall in mkts : Algo triggered basket selling....

    1. Crude Spike to 68 ( 2015 high)
    2. Upcoming Chinese IPOs
    3. GST hangover, MAT
    4. Deliberate sell trade by Big FIIs or Hedge Fund to re-enter at lower levels
    5. US trade deficit @ 6 month high haunting the markets
    6. Nifty below 200 DMA

    I will add one more point which is no major correction in quite long time and it is much needed because one line of movement was quite dangerous and some people should be selling at higher levels which has not happened and so now I hope panic does not creep in and if it does, money in the sidelines will definitely help.

    I think happened sometime in jan. Jan 6th, 2015. Nifty did not go below 8080 or something nearby this fig.
    Now, it went below 8000, and quickly reversed from there. You have marked the doji pretty well.....Interesting indeed.
