Let me know your views on Apollo Tyres. Same pattern as pointed in Auropharma.

Patience and right strategy proved once again. Last month I took position in Apoolo tyre at 185 from there it went down to 164 level. but i have countered it with selling option.

I rolled over my position to this month on 28th- Aug at 170...Today I exited at 212.

I lot of future - 2000 shares.
Profit = 212 - 170 = 42. so......2000 * 42

Stock market is always about having patience. don't panic bcoz no stock will keep on falling or raising. Just have pateince and use right strategy.

 

Sujan...congrats for the huge profit. But can you explain your strategy. According to me there was no such pattern which tell us the stock is in uptrend.

I believe it was pure luck. If it's was a strategy kindly share it so that others in forum also benefit from it.

If you see there is no strategy. Than why didn't put stop loss when it fallen from 185 -164 levels. In my strategy I was covering my loss partially.

Strategy is simple. I took counter positions in Future and options.

 

I believe that initially you bough 1 lot in futures instead of cash. When price fell down in august, you might have sold the call options. You rolled over your futures position to next month @170 and when it reached to 212, you sold the futures lot. Am i right?
How much Qty of the call sold by you in august? was that 1 lot? or what proportion you used for selling the call with futures?
